To be in Once Upon a Time, soi 17, Petchburi Road, BKK

Just as its name "Once upon a Time", the last time I was here was over 10 years ago.  The place is in a very nostalgic deco., and has distracted my attention from the food that I forgot taking photos on some dishes.  The food is not that bad though it's not the best.  Recommend to come here once upon a time.  Then you will have some good old fond memory for this once.  Too much would get ourselves spoiled and forgetful....

Summer Palace, Cha Am/Hua HIn, Thailand

Friendly reminder: At a recent visit, this place has a new policy and now requires the visitors to cover their shoulders and knees before going in.  No photo taking and shoes off inside the house.  To pay a further respect to this place, I decided not to go into the house.

2012 Autumn review: Lawry's, the prime ribs,

Lawry's HK is one of the few restaurants that hasn't disappointed me in every visit I have had.  Though this time the service is a bit not up to standard, the bread, the salad, the mushroom soup and most of all, the prime "Prime Ribs" are always the drive to get me addicted to re-visiting Lawry's.  I ordered 2 baskets of bread to go with the mushroom soup.  The funny thing is that I don't like mushroom soup and cream soup much.  Except for this one at Lawry's, I would empty the bowl.  Their signature spinning salad with chilled fork deserves an all-time two-thumbs up.  When the prime ribs was served on the table, the nice beef aroma with the warm hot original beef stock gravy and the Yorkshire pudding with moist mashed potato.....  :)

寛窄巷子 (Wide and Narrow lanes), Hysan Place, Causeway Bay HK

I got told that Wu Kong has a new subsidiary restaurant in Hysan Place.  For sure I went check but made a hilarious misunderstanding from the shop's name being a bit Northern China.  As I had the first bite, sorry I was a bit too rushing from not checking further if there are other similar Chinese provincial restaurants' names.  The food is just so so, but the deco. was good for those who like some old Chinese stuff.  Reminder: don't try the dessert, esp. the mini sticky rice dumpling in wine rice sweet.  Coming here for a tea and a bowl of rice is ok, but not the other food.

Passion by Gerard Dubois, Cafe and Deli, Johnston Rd. Wanchai HK

Finally I find a right place for some real salad, sandwich and pizza at reasonable prices in Wanchai.  The others I had in Wanchai (Star Street) were a bit disappointing.   Salad is at around HK$40-60 depending on the size.  On the photo shown here is the largest.  Pizza at around HK$70-90.  Nice coffee too. The cakes and pastry are pretty nice though not the best.  However, there aren't enough seats in the shop.  Most of the time, I couldn't find a seat, except the first visit, I could take a photo of empty seats.
