Palau Nacional de Montjuic, Barcelona, Spain

Palau Nacional de Montjuic has several art museums inside. Even if you don't feel like going in, it's worth visiting here just to see the buildings around this area.
*Photo 1. They reserve the outer wall and built a shopping mall inside.
2/3. I took a risk of taking photos in the middle of the road.

Barcelona seaside, Spain

This city has changed so much from my last visit (12 years ago). The only landmark I could recognise is that metallic bird on photo 6. Photo 1 shows the newly established W hotel on the far right end.

La Botiga Mediterranean restaurant, Barcelona, Spain

The restaurant highlighted its paella (Spanish fried rice). Personally I don't like paella much, or I can say I don't like fried rice much, because I prefer the original rice flavour - steamed rice. What's more, some unnecessary bits like clam's shell can be easily left in the rice that it can get you some oral wound. Cooking seafood for such a long time also spoils the original sweetness of seafood. Back to the paella of this restaurant, it's a bit salty to me though it's still pretty good as compared to the others I have tried. Anyway, this restaurant is pretty nice, especially their tomato bread (photo 3). Toasted bread with tomato puree and paste. Very fresh and sweet tomatoes in Spain! The salad (photo 4) and the pan seared tuna (photo 6) are quite nice but just a bit too much of olive oil.

St. Josep Market, La Rambla, Barcelona, Spain

As I asked the hotel front desk about a market I once visited (12 years ago), I got a reply now everything has changed. My vague memory the market was in front of a big circle with a nice green restaurant called Olive serving my favourite Gazpacho (chilled tomato soup). Finally I gotta be back here but it's really changed a lot and the restaurant was gone too. This trip of Barcelona is really another 180 degree experience to me and it looks like it's a new place.
