Villa Maroc, Pranburi, Thailand

Finally the local travel magazine reported this Moroccan style resort which I posted in July last year for my trip to Aleenta Pranburi. At that time and at my promise to the sales manager, I didn't disclose the name of the resort. Now it's time and it's named "Villa Maroc". Frangipani Wing, Aleenta Pranburi, Thailand

During my stay at the main wing of Aleenta Pranburi, I checked for their Frangipani Wing (which is 500 feet away from the main wing) and they have a golf car for shuttle transport. The concept of this wing is quite similar to the Ocean View Loft of Aleenta Phang Nga - whereas they have a direct pool access from the room and share a big swimming pool. There are 6 suites in this new wing.

1. the Entrance. 2. the swimming pool.

3. View to the suites by the pool. 4. View to the Pranburi beach - very nice coastline.

5/6. open restaurant between the pool and the beach.

7. view from the suite to the pool. 8. entrance to the suites.

9. nice sun deck area by the pool. 10. Aleenta provides free bicycle for the guests to check around. I guess the resort might be first developed by a group of Europeans, the bicycle's seat is a bit too high, even you adjust it to the lowest point.

Casablanca, Morrocan Restaurant

This restaurant is very nice and is in the Morrocan resort we have been to.

1/2. all the decorations here are all imported.

3. Mango/orange shake - pretty nice. 4. the table

5. a small appetizer - watermelon with balsamic vinegar. 6. Nice tomato dipping.

7. White truffle scallop soup - very nice and it's THB450. 8. Seafood Cousous - a typical Moroccan main course for 2 persons.

9. Guess how much for that Cousous - THB1,800. Some may find it expensive but considering the eating environment and the import seafood, it's quite a reasonable price. 10. a cute tooth picks container.

Aleenta Pranburi, Thailand

Got much impressed with Aleenta Phang Nga and drove to try the original Aleenta which was set up in Pranburi (Hua Hin) 7 years ago. However, I prefer the one in Phang Nga.

1. an Ipod sound system seems to be a must in the room. 2. the tea variety is less than the Phang Nga one.

3/4. Chose to stay in this Penthouse (only one unit) and the view is very nice and it's the tallest point of the whole resort. Guess what is missed in the room. It's the TV set. I kind of like it because we don't need to be a slave to TV, especially when we are supposed to relax ourselves.

5. Aleenta has an image that simple is living. 6. the rest room.

7/8. this bath room is quite thoughtful and you can take a nice sea view while you are taking a bath.

9. a very nice sun deck area. 10. view to the main building. Top floor is the spa. Second floor is the restaurant and the ground floor is the reception.

11. Beachfront suite - good for a family or 2x2 group of friends. The upper floor is with a nice rooftop and the ground floor suite is with a small plunge pool. 12. the swimming pool - it's quite small actually.

13. view from the main building to Penthouse. 14. pool with a view to the sea.

15. the pool/16. Beachfront pool villa.

17/18. the Reception

19. Do you wanna get a book to read? 20. the plunge pool is right on your door step.

21. view to the beachfront pool villa. 22. Khao Kalok on Pranburi beach

23. view to the ceiling of Penthouse. 24. Beachfront pool villa.

25. the Penthouse. 26. the beach.

27/28. the bath room can turn out to be a small plunge pool.

29. Sometimes it's quite windy in Pranburi. 30. relaxing....

31/12. the breakfast in room.
