7 to 8pm at Causeway Bay

Took my 50mm F1.4 lens for some snap shots and candid photos. Most of the photos were taken at a lower angle on a guess. 50mm is a bit difficult to judge, and the 9 point AF has made some of the shots not in focus. In general, this is what I saw in Causeway Bay tonight.

#3 the girl with the spoon in her mouth. :)
#4 is nice with the crushed cardboard boxes.
#5 is very nice with the guy counting the money.
#6 more signs!
#7 somehow I like even the focus is on the strip hanging in the front.
#8 is excellent! She was trying to read with the help of extra light from the counter.
#9,#10,#11,#12, #13 Are these cropped? It may help a little more with some of the of environment like #11.

Using 50mm, you must be pretty close to them. Overall very nice candid street photographs.

I think #1 will look good in b/w and the arrow sign pointing at him is funny.

Thanks. Yes, I do enjoy taking the camera on various photos. Such another world thru' all those lenses.
Pixmation, some of them are cropped, #1 making it like 6x6.. :) #5 & 8 too. #8 I used the LR filter to balance the light, actually most of them because Causeway Bay are so bright with all the lights. #2, I noticed even the light is so bright on the tram as it's so shiny. #the last 2 are cropped. The girl was with her father and I needed to cut the jeans pant as it's not a proper one. Then the last one, the tree is quite on a bigger part and I just wanna emphasize on the smoking part. All others are not cropped. All the vertical photos were taken in my right hand holding down at near my right knee and I just guessed the angle on my 90 degree to the right side and I pretended I dialed on my cell. phone while I was seeing my camera lens on a proper position and press the button then. Yes, some of them are pretty close, around 4 feet away. Causeway Bay is very crowded and people walked in between. So this is a very difficult part for me to consider when to press the shutter. As you can see on the girl photo, the camera is on the same height to her. Then the others I need to use my 2nd/3rd fingers to light the camera a bit upward on my guess. The one on the lady in black suit is on a good guessed angle. Personally I like the Dunhill photo, I need to wait for the crowd to walk with the space for not blocking Dunhill sign and yet no one was in between me and the crushed cartoon. Took me about 10 minutes to take this photo. I think this is something I wouldn't notice before. After trying more and more and seeing, I would feel like how to frame and compose for something. Just like #1, I took a few angle but think with those messy construction work with the arrow sign with him, that would be quite something.

Actually I need to thank TC who encouraged me to try taking photos. Then I spread this to my friends, sisters and Pixmation (like a gift return).

Last night, I watched (half) of a documentary film about a famous French street photographer Henri Cartier Bresson.

Here is a link of Google random image search result. Enjoy!

There were 2 other friends before TC, but both now left. I was encouraged by my another friend to buy the Panasonic compact camera which has Leica on the first cooperation. Then the second Panasonic Z-7 was encouraged by Angel. The 400D was encouraged by TC. :)
