I like the natural setting of the pool and the round shaped stone chairs at this poolside bar.  The food was prepared by the restaurant Leelavadee.  Quality wise, it isn't bad but if the price is taken into consideration, it's not so worth it.  What impressed me is the staff services.  As I told them the salad dressing wasn't right as per the menu's description, the staff came back to me "He tell me.  I tell you.  Sorry.".  That's why I like the resorts off those busy Phuket areas, since the local people are not so sophisticated.   It's my brain's vacation from not dealing with those city's common sophisticated people.

If a resort can hire more staff like the manager of this spa, it would have so much free word-of-mouth promo.  As I passed by the spa, the manager came to greet and invited me to take photos inside and even got us a brief tour of this spa house by showing a nice view from 3rd floor to the resort.  The manager also recommended their off season spa treatment at just THB950 for 90 minutes and very frank by telling that they needed to keep up with some business in any way, though I told her I was leaving an hour.  She expected people to spread the word for her and so as my appreciative gesture, I need to thank her and post about the spa of this resort.  Most of her, I didn't feel any pushing.

Simply the name of this restaurant already caught me for my dinner, esp. it's in Thai cuisine.  The hotel has an interesting 20% on 20% off.  The bill shows a 20% off of each item and then in total a further 20% off.  I have read it time and again and see if I made a wrong calculation, but that is really a 20% on 20%, i.e. 36% off.  Though the prices are a bit high, with this 36% off, it was then lower than the common 5 star resort restaurant prices (about 10-20% cheaper).  Some of the dishes are quite impressive - the crab soup is very sweet and fresh.  Som tam isn't that heavily sweet and with lots of nice fresh string beans.  The minced duck meat salad is very nice too - very aromatic.  The restaurant has some sliding doors.  On the fine night, it would be so good having the night sea breeze coming in instead of the air-con.

 

 

 

Breakfast at Leelavadee restaurant, Mai Khao Dream Natai beach, Phang Nga, Thailand

Leevadee is the all day cafe and restaurant of this resort.  It serves western cuisine in dinner time but I didn't try it as I prefer Thai food the most.  This restaurant is in a very nice gardening setting on the beach front.  The food quality is at average, but the service makes it up.  So you would feel like taking your time for a morning breakfast and enjoying a hot coffee on such a breezy sunny day.

The room is very spacious with a large balcony and a plunge pool as well as a direct access to the big swimming pool in the front.  The hotel management tried not to have someone holding the 2nd floor deluxe suite room at this off season.  I could only see it be occupied on the check-out day.  However, it would be a bit awkward having someone right on the above during the peak season.  In general, the room is pretty comfy, except for a noisy Samsung Air-con.

The resort is located on the norther part of Natai beach, quite secluded.  The design is pretty Thai style.  Reminds me of JW Marriott Khao Lak and the pavilions looks like Renaissance Mai Khao.  It has the basic deluxe room type, suite with garden terrace, duplex, and suite with plunge pool, and in total about 56 rooms.  The swimming pool is pretty big with a nice poolside bar for drinks and snack.   The gardening is very nice too.  The last few photos were taken on the HDR art and vivid modes.
