Been to the renowned Chuan Spa in HK. They chose Langham Place Hotel in Mongkok and also let it run by Langham. Langham was first managed by its parent group from UK and for sure well run by their parent management. However, it has been changed to another management with new mangers from a country which I can't say here as any comments would be defamatory under their country's tradition. Well, under such new management, some tiny things like gargle, water and even music were cut off. After my friend's furious complaints, such things have been restored but the cleaning is still not in full services. Then my friend is really frustrated and claimed that if it's not a quiet place better than the other gym houses, he wouldn't consider it. I simply told him it will be even quieter. Later on, it will go darker as they need to cut off the electricity; so if he wants a dim place, that's it. Anyway, the decoration and facilities are yet very nice.
1. the swimming pool is on the 42nd floor of the hotel rooftop and with a veiw to its sister commercial bldg. 2. the rinsing corridor before you enter the pool.
3/4. The swimming pool is with some underwater music but was once cut off on the reason that it is too lousy for their guests. When asked if they were avoiding paying music copyright royalty, they of course denied it but then claimed the music volume is not consistent. Don't they know even iTunes has an auto-volume control?
5/6. the jacuzzi - my friend told me he didn't wanna go in as it's not cleaned enough and he even found some dirt on the wall.
7. the reception. 8. the Spa is with some Chinese decoration.
9. the meditation room. 10. the meditation room is with a view to western Kowloon area.

What, no cleaning in a gym?
This is supposed a high-end gym and they provide only limited service with extreme expensive club fee!
What kind of management in the world is that? And what kind of humans are they who manage this gym?
Do you recommend this hotel to me? If yes, what is the room rate?
I like Mongkok as I can go to "Woman Street".

Actually it's because of their mutual competition of their self-thinking. If they wanna cut cost, then as a customer, they would want more. So you want more and I give less. Then it's a jigsaw competition. :)
Stella, I don't recommend you to stay in Mongkok as it's a bit complicated now in Mongkok. I still recommend you to stay in Tsimshatsui or Causeway Bay.
i think for her either Causeway Bay or Wanchai is fine, as lots of shopping and eateries

I like to go to "Woman Street" and "Lay Yuen East West Street" to bargain, just like the "red light" area that TC brought me at BKK(where there is a cheap and good French Restaurant).
Not sure if there is still the culture of "bargaining" in those tourist areas.
