Back to Mine, with Steak Today - Chulalongkorn University Campus BKK

This place is really interesting. Think of the time you often longed for a lunch after a whole morning of day dreaming in the classroom. A piece of meat, spaghetti, mixed veggie and buttered toast is such a noon time pleasure. Most of all, you chatted whatever topics with your close friends.
Thanks to TC, we got to see this back to the golden time. This place together with other fast food stalls selling steaks on the 2nd floor of Sam Yam market, in the Chulalongkorn University campus area. Again, we would be easily betrayed with our eyes and prejudice in judging if we can find some good food in such a place in a market. When the plate of food was served, the color and look didn't look so tempting, especially the sauce on the spaghetti. Well, I can say this restaurant is even more considerate than any other restaurants in giving fresh green peas, corn and carrot, unlike those using Birdeye's brands of frozen mixed veggie. The sauce was made of some onion and carrot which bring the natural sweetness. The steak may not be too nice as it wasn't with any heavy soda powder or meat tenderizer, nor even heavily seasoned. The below photo 2 is good for 2-3 people to share and it's just THB250 something (US$8). Most other steak dishes ranged from THB80-100.

Whatever said here is so true.
The food here is simple and cheap but the chef still cooks them with healthy ingredient.
The food is better than it looks and expected.

Thanks. PA, I'm not sure if they have upgraded but it's very clean and tidy though it's not in a fancy deco. Very down-to-earth. The spaghetti isn't al-dente but it tasted not bad.
