Years ago (probably 15 to 20 years ago), a Stephen Chow's movie talked about his invention of a solar torch. Now we see this solar light in some parks of Hong Kong (e.g. this one taken at the Quarry Bay park). It stores the energy in the day time and powers the light bulb in the night time.

Our driveway and back yard is full of these, but in a small size version.
Solar powered products are very encouraged here.

CA should make good use of solar energy as 90% of the time are sunny.

Especially LA is always sunny and seldom rains.
If you are into the solar business you get many tax break and cheaper loan rate.
If you buy solar powered panel or roof you can get rebate from Gov't.
Oh the hat(from Palm Spring) for Jason is also solar related.
