Hotel Review: Centara Grand Mirage Pattaya

1. The hotel.
2. Towel kiosk. At check-in, you will be given 1 towel card for 1 room guest. Loss of the card will be on a penalty of THB800. Suppose this is a resort hotel and this kind of policy makes the guests quite nervous and pressed for keeping the card safe. The staff wasn't well trained in considering this is a self-acclaimed 5 star resort.
3-7. The hotel has a lazy river for you to get "lazy" but it's a bit too narrow to get hurt on the rough stone walls. Turned out my 2 friends getting hurt. So it is better for view than use.
8. Baby pool.
9. Infinity pool.
11/12. The hotel is situated at Wongamat beach, northern Pattaya. It's a nice location as it's away from the busy crowded area.
13-16. The hotel lobby.
17-19. At night.
20-21. The staff here weren't very helpful. No staff stationed in the center and you need to call them for services or open it. The staff would ask you to go to the front office for assistance instead of using their walkie talkie to ask their colleagues to come to open the center. Need to mention their internet charge is 40% higher but 50% slower than other 3 star hotels which offer for free internet.

You have to work hard in the lazy river to avoid getting hurt.
The warm water in the pool and the nice view at infinity pool do make up many points of the hotel.
This is a nice hotel if you like water play but not otherwise.

Yes, some other things made up for the lazy river and other service problems and the horrible breakfast.
