Le Normandie, Mandarin Oriental BKK

Had a very nice lunch at Le Normandie on the first day of CNY. What amazed me the most is their oyster sorbet. When I noticed this on the menu, this is gonna be either a 100% yes or 100% no. Very brave of the chef and of course confident too. It turned out it conquered my taste buds. You had better try it before it changed the menu! Words to describe it is a ruin to this nice oyster sorbet and I couldn't describe it. I even forgot to take a photo of it with my own camera. Luckily I had it from my friend's camera. Check this one on the left - the oyster sorbet on the top with a nice sea bass veggie bed. OK, will return for more details..... *After this nice appetizer, I took dory (Le Normandie like to use dory and red mullet quite much on their menu), scallop and frog leg (photo no. 8). So good! Check on photo no. 7. Black sesame on each scallion! What an artistic presentation. The last photo is on their lovely iced mocha. Not much milk in it and I could taste the nice choco. flavour and fine coffee used.

Why hate? Simply turn back your alarm clock to Asia time for the time being. You've just lived too long in the US time. I think this menu is still there within this Feb.

Pixmation, I came here with another 4 friends. Le Normandie is so nice to have 2 slices of cakes for each guest. This restaurant is a must on your agenda if you plan for a trip to BKK. :)

Wow, it seems that every time Le Normandie has good surprise to us. And every time is better than last time.

So Le Normandie and MO-BKK is still the best after all.

Stella, remember I told you to hurry up to try MO BKK asap. Don't ask me why. Just hurry.

Humm, sound like you know some secret things going on at MO-BKK.
Are they going to close down for long time due to renovation?

Is this expensive? :)) how much roughly per pax?

On a 5 star renowned hotel and this remarkable French restaurant, it's not expensive at all. It's about THB1,300 to 1,400 (incl. tax) for lunch.
