Got curious from a complimentary plastic toy film camera with 4 holes from a magazine costing at HK$15. The good thing is that you can learn the simple basic thing about taking photo. The quality is pretty rough, but at least it's pretty fun to know how a simple camera works. On some of the below photos, I purposedly shot some backlight photos. Turned out the back light area isn't that contrast as compared to digital camera. *this 4 holes toy camera needs to take some moving objects but has to be in sunny days. I should have bought the ISO200 film. The below are on ISO 100. BTW, most of the photos were not in good frame.

Very nice! It's interesting that film always has this intangible look and feel to it that you won't find it in digital. The instructor from the class that I am taking said, "digital photography has no soul." That's a bit of extreme statement although it has some truth to it.
The best way to experience film in medium format now is to get a used medium format camera instead of those new plastic toy medium format.
Mmh.. now that I am thinking... I still have one film roll left. Buy one small dish of soy sauce, then I need to buy one whole chicken.
I agreed that something needs to be in their own format, like music. Better live, better analog but we can't nowadays.
May I suggest you use the remaining roll of film and the toy camera to take portraits of people around you. With them at a casual relax standing pose without much expression. Just looking at the camera blank. against a bright soft window background. Could be a 3/4 body shot from head to the hip.
Hehe, thanks for saving some money for me. Though the film/developing is about US$10 for one roll, little cost accumulated would be a big cost in total.
A good idea for that 3/4 body shot with some bright soft light. Maybe I should ask them to move towards the camera slowly. Will try!
