Epoch, Taikoo Place, Hong Kong

Impressed with the high tea set of this restaurant just across the street. So I paid a visit for a dinner set with either salad/soup or dessert with coffee or everything at a price range at $78 to 98. Not bad at all considering the food quality and environment.
1. I like the way the chef's recommendations written on a board. 2. tuna pasta on veggie salad. Pasta is nicely flavoured with olive oil and some vinegar. Veggie is quite fresh and selected.

3. chicken linguine in tomato bell pepper sauce. The linguine is quite al dente. Kind of unexpected as it's not common to have al dente pasta in Hong Kong. 4. Beef Gouloush on wild rice. This gouloush is pretty good, not too sweet but not too salty and the beef is tender enough but not mashy. Rice was cooked to a perfect texture. Besides, it was very very hot and I like it this way it was served.

5. Toberlone cheese cake. Interesting but unexpectedly good 6. Mont Blanc (chestnut cake). This one is very nice.

7. Choco pound cake. Though a bit dry, it's still a nice one. 8. Butter fudge pound cake. The fudge is of course very sweet but no complaint as it's known as "fudge".

9. Decaf. coffee - always nice to have coffee after a meal. 10. Another lovely consideration - the music. Every time I passed by this shop, I would have a look at the CDs and finds it like home. My Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, Faithless....
11. the shop and most of all, all the staff here are very attentive and not bothering suggestive. Talkative but not much. My warm continuous support!

The dessert and cake look very delicate and delicious.
The place looks cozy and homely.

In general, from salad to coffee, the quality is quite consistent, unlike my roller coaster ride in Jade Garden
