Nha Trang, Wu Chung House, Wanchai - summer review

Nha Trand and Thai Basil are ones of those of my favourite restaurants which are very consistent with their food quality, almost zero hit count on a disappointment.

1. The bowl simply told what brought up their name - it's their beef soup noodle turning them from a shop of 200 square feet to 5-6 shops in some prime business locations. 2. Another important thing is the house-made fish/vinegar sauce mix. This looks simple but I often find most restaurants making it too sweet. Nha Trang made it perfect.

3. Shrimp on grilled egg plant HK$52. Last time when TC brought me to Methavali Sorndaeng in BKK, I thought of this one of Nha Trang. Then I tried this one at Nha Trang, I thought of Methavali Sorndaeng. Why? Grilled egg plants are ones of those food which look easy to cook, but it isn't at all. If the grilling fire is too strong, it will be all burnt. If it's too mild, it will be dried out. These 2 restaurants made this one very nice. Impressive. 4. the shop's signature beef noodle soup and still at HK$42. It was HK$32 about 8 years ago when I visited their first shop. So in just 8 years and with the 3 times higher rental cost, $10 increase is a bit too low considering the quality of this beef soup noodle.

This beef soup noodle is the favourite of our Angel. There was a time I felt a bit flu. There she suggested me go get this hot beef noodle. It worked.

Soup is always good for flu as we need lots of liquid to fight a flu.
I eat this kind of beef noodle once a week in Old Town close to office(walking one big block to Colorado Blvd).
It is only $5.5 US and 10% from our bank. And the portion is big(US size). Also free water melon as complimentary dessert.
So we try to go there often to support. We worry he will close down with the high rent and cheap food.

Yes, we should support those restaurants which work with their heart. The rent is really crazy. People run their business for the landlords.

That means real estate is always a better and safer investment over others. Especially during the downturn.
