Sun Hong Baku Teh (Spare Ribs soup) 新峰肉骨茶 Imbi, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Got told by some locals this is a good one, but personally I don't appreciate it much. The steamed rice is luke warm and cooked in a very early morning and standing for a long day. The stir fried veggie was done in a wrong way that the cook tried to think it's a quick stir fried but the heat isn't controlled right. It came out the veggie a bit cold with the preserved bean curd sauce and some raw ginger slices. Just imagine yourself taking it as a fresh salad with uncooked ginger slices and preserved bean curd paste... The spare rib soup is not that authentic to me. Some cheap Chinese herb was put in it. Actually this is the thing I told my local friends that Chinese herb soup shouldn't be put with some veggie or scallion, as it would destroy the herbal effect, or even bring harm to your body. The only happy thing is the fish the shop recommended. It's a Nonya fish, quite spicy but at least it's the better one.

just like some overly famous local Thai-CN eateries in BKK, ended up they r just clown meal and joke in the eyes of real foodies ..

esp. never trust those free guide books and tv travel programs for restaurant recommendations..
