Emirates Business class

Some Middle East Airlines occasionally would offer discounted fare on their business class. I tried Gulf Air business class at just HK$1,600. Then this time I tried the world renowned airline Emirates business class at just HK$1,980. So got on a B777-300ER flight to meet my friend in BKK and LA. I first thought as just offering one daily flight from HK to BKK and Dubai, Emirates may have outsourced it to the Airport general business lounge. It's not. They have their own lounge and this is very thoughtful and also in maintaining their airline image because those Airport lounges are just so so.
1. This is what a business class lounge should offer to their valued passengers. Prawn on caesar salad, with warm garlic bread. Yes, warm and freshly oven heated! Can't complain. 2. Cream cake - another delight though I'm not into it.

3. Something Middle Eastern food - but I am not much into it. 4. Mango fruit salad.

5. See this nice cold dish and dessert big round tray! 6. Drink station. I couldn't take photos for the hot food station as it's not too nice to the other passengers.

7. the Entrance is at the upper floor close to gate 60. 8. Spacious business class and I prefer this configuration than the Virgin/CX adjacent "spare rib - like" seating.

9. the seat is with various angle movement to fit your body with a massage function. 10. the TV is almost the same size of the class seat pitch - I guess it's 20" or more.

11. They have a touch-screen control for you to adjust your seat. Their inflight entertainment includes more than 500 movies! 12. I think the other airlines should note this one - a place for the shoes - very thoughtful.

13. the menu is a very classic one. 14. various nuts with fresh squeezed orange juice!

15. See how nice the setting and table ware is! 16. Appetizer - Lobster medallion with salon paste with caviar. This is what the business class should offer. Nowadays some airlines tend to make their food more local to "say" to cater general people's need, like serving congee or soup noodle. Don't general people eat lobster?

17. Poached salmon fillet with nice veggie and potato. Very nice and fresh salmon! 18. a cup of decaf coffee. Though it's decaf, it's still very aromatic.

what served in the lounge was even more plentiful than the tea buffet at Four Seasons; no wonder Emirates voted world top ten airlines for straight ten years

Wow this is really a feast. I think just the food, drink, and snack would cost value of $50US easily if you eat at hotels. You made a wise decision Sea by taking this one instead of the other airline.

The tiramisu cake looks yummy.
I even enlarge it to enjoy.
I saw a finger there pointing at the miniature food. Was that you SEA?

Yes, I didn't expect the Emirates lounge is like that. I thought they just served some cold sanwich, or a simple noodle soup station and a few choices of drinks. So paying $1,980 for business class is worth if you don't mind the late night flight into BKK.

SS, the food quality in the HK lounge is better than the BKK's. :)

Wow! They sure serve Posh Food up in the sky, better than ANA's business class food. Lovely. I like your blog's new look too!

Are you really mean it's just less than HK$2,000. Cathay sell more than $2,000 for economy class. I must try this one. Yes, lobster should be served in business class. Good to take a chance to try business class and pay even less than Cathy.

Thanks Android. I just checked that there is a new layout; so I would like to have a cleaner background with wider section for photo and writing sections.

Anonymous 2:37pm, yes, but there are pros and cons. CX has 5 flights a day and Emirates flies at almost midnight; so you would need to spend one more night for the hotel.
