Pedicured chicken feet in abalone sauce by East Ocean Restaurant Quarry Bay HK

Chinese or Cantonese are often considered they eat whatever from head to toes. Can it be considered a very good environmental example? No. It is considered as something disgusting. So when we eat the whole fish, but not just fish filet, it's considered as "cruel". These are just some brief examples but often distorted into something negative.
*these chicken feet in abalone sauce by East Ocean restaurant. Pretty nice as they don't use frozen chicken feet. Check they cut the nails.

Just watched the breaking news about Tsunami in Japan, hope HK will not be affected.

In some of the local markets, I do see quite a lot of fresh chicken feet. Normally steaming a whole chicken (a common cooking in Cantonese) would still leave the chicken feet hard to eat. So lots of fresh chicken feet can be supplied. Of course, they are more expensive than the frozen ones. BTW, chicken feet are now getting more attention as it was found out (on those scientific research) it has something to prevent from certain cancer cells getting active.

Stella, HK had around 1 foot of current rise at around 9pm. My friends in Japan are doing ok. They were really scared and said never have they had such a big one, even in Tokyo. Offices are now messed up, but they left the office already.

I am following up with Jade Channel.

HK and Taiwan are slightly affected due to the ripple effect rather than the direction of the flow.
God bless everyone in the world.

Oh, now the Boy's Club interviewed Roger Wu Wai Chung(the BKK spokesman besides TC & SEA). He is talking about the ghost he saw in BKK, my favorite.
Bye now....

TC, some people are misled by some of the stupid HK Gov't officers who often claimed HK is sheltered from Taiwan and Philippines from any Pacific tsunami. Shouldn't they just open the map and check what is in between Taiwan and Philippines. It's at least thousand miles of wide ocean and beneath it is the pacific ring of fire. It's just a matter of time. Never say never. My grand ma told me when she was a kid, HK was hit by an Earth quake and that's a 7 degree Shan Tou earth quake. Some quarters in HK were pulled down.

I also really don't know why some US officers claim west coast should be safe from the tsunami. If they didn't study physics and geography, shut up their mouths and don't take human lives at their mouth of risk. It has to depend on the sea bottom shape and also the bay shape. It turned out some places in west coast was also affected.

Re HK, though we are not directly facing the coast off Sendai, it's the water level rise from a massive sea bottom shake. The water level rise can hold for 10-30 minutes. The tsunami in scientific term should be referred to tidal wave. The tide is an area of wide belt of water rising up or down. Then when it's reaching the shallow area, a wave occurs. Need to draw a map to show how tsunami is different from some big wave we can see in the beach. As you can see, after the tsunami wave hits the coast, there is still abundant of water pushing in like flooding. This is not like a big wave we can see from a beach. Tsunami is a wider belt of waves.

now the much much bigger issue is the mishap of nuclear, it may be way more damaging than tsunami (as tsunami last minutes to hours, but nuclear leak take days or even months, once leak, there is no way to "keep" them, only response is to run away as far as one can from the nuclear), really worrying, wish people there r safe from this earth quake aftermath .. we pray for them!

A coincidence of time when I browsed back the photos I took in my January trip to Hokkaido. Thought of the nice warm smile of the madam of a cafe in Lake Toya. Wishing nothing serious has caused her.
Yes, the nuclear pollution is even more devastating. Feels so sad indeed.
