An amazing twilight check-in with JW Marriott Bangkok

If it's not the Marriott Gold card's voucher benefit for a stay here at THB2,999++ (incl. ABF), I wouldn't come back for a try. The last time was 12 years ago. In my impression, it was a standard 4 star int'l hotel to me at that time. It further went down to 3 star or even less after my check-in and overall experience on this second time.
When the taxi got to their entrance, the security was very rude in talking to the taxi driver and so used his torch to "light up" our faces. What a twilight treatment. It took a few minutes for the taxi driver to get to have them open the gate. When we were at the drive way, no one was there. I needed to carry our luggages (on staircases) up to the entrance lobby. What's funny the bell boy saw me when I got off the taxi. Of course I called up the manager for a serious complaint. What's pathetic that manager didn't show to be much concerned but simply claimed "the bell boy is new". I told him "this is not new or not. This is common sense and yet why your people were rude to a taxi driver as a Thai with a Thai. What a shame of him.". *I recall Courtyard (same Marriott group) in Rajdamri was also the same - the bell boy was very rude to the driver at that time.". Now it's not a single incident for this chain hotel front line staff having such an arrogant attitude.
I briefly read a book of how Mr. J.W. Marriott advised his staff of his 12 rules of success, and one of which is "See and be seen". Yes, very correct that his descendant training staff in this JW Marriott are really to "see and be seen". What's more, all their housekeeping and other staff see you but not greet you, when they are seen.
Back to the room and other facilities, they are still maintained the same. *Used LR for the vertical and light adjustment. So adjusting it a bit slightly would have the photos a bit not too high-low. Check the left bottom area of photo 7 and right bottom part of photo 8. The light filter made the shady part not too dark in this kind of sunny contrast situation.

$100 US for this 4-star hotel supposed to be a real bargain, if not for this "discount" service with rude attitude and no bell boy service.
