Ciao, Italian restaurant, Marriott Resort & Spa Hua HIn Thailand

Cucina, the Italian restaurant of JW Marriott Mai Khao (Phuket), impressed me so much that I had to try Ciao, the Italian restaurant of Marriott Hua Hin.
1. the entrance.
2. the table setting in an open area on the beach front. A bit hot and as there are not too many guests, the mosquitoes were very desperate with every kind of mosquito repellent, mosquito coil and even iPhone ultra sound wave repellent. They blindly hit you though not successfully stinging you. Nonetheless, their food is much worth my skin sacrifice.
3. Ordered a lime juice. This is the way whichever type of juice should be served - syrup on the side.
4. They served the bread in the same way as Cucina with the grilled garlic, cheeze spread and balsamic vinegar/olive oil. So devil that they served Olive bread, tomato bread and mushroom bread! I of course finished them all.
5. Sliced lobster in seaweed with garden green in truffle oil. So delicious. All the ingredients were perfectly mixed and matched.
6. White Tomato soup with breaded king prawn. This one is surprisingly good. I kept wondering how the chef made this nice soup. So smooth and so aromatic. The king prawn is very fresh too.
7. Salami pizza. Some very good flour used and very good technique in making the pizza very crispy. Most of all, the tomato paste didn't soften the pizza. Many chefs often used some watery tomato sauce which makes the pizza too soft and not crsipy enough. If the tomato paste is thick enough, on the contrary it gives a very nice tomato aroma in it. Another remark on this pizza is the moderate amount of some fine cheese used. Often some very wrong mistake in using too much cheese resulting in making the pizza too heavy and soft too. What amazed me they charged THB280 for this outstanding pizza.
8. Grilled salmon on risotto. Very fresh salmon and perfectly grilled. A bit burnt and crispy outside but juicy sweet inside. So surprised with the risotto cooked in some kind of a lemon creamy sauce which goes so well with the salmon. On the top is a crispy sour cream roll. All these offset the "filling" flavour of salmon. Very clever of the chef.
9. Baked apple tart with rum raisin ice cream. The surprise never stops. Instead of Vanilla ice cream, rum raisin ice cream is even better with apple tart.
10. Chocolate and coffee ice cream. See all those toppings are put on the side for you to mix them in or without them. Very thoughtful.

It seems all dishes are so good here, especially the ice cream with apple tart.
