1. the shop.
2. Satay Campur (by now I guess campur may mean "assorted", as nasi campur is rice with some mixed veggie and meats). This time the satay came with 3 different meats. It's very nice and the satay dipping is not that heavy, at least not too sweet.
3. Stir fried kuay tiew. pretty good too.
4. Grilled chicken in banana leaf. It's a bit too heavy with all those lemon grass and galangal but still pretty nice.
5. veggie with rice with the chicken in banana leaf.
6. Gado gado (Indonesian salad). In Indonesia, how can I miss this signature dish. Overall, I like their sauce and dipping which is not too heavy, neither too salty nor sweet.

wow, Indo food, once in a while, interesting!
Picture 3 and Gado Gado are very popular Indonesian dishes in LA.
Our Gado Gado usually has boiled eggs with lots of peanut sauce.
The BBQ fried chicken with crispy skin and hot sauce also famous here.
The freshly made shrimp chip and the thousand layer cake are also good. Oh never miss the Jendo Drink.
Due to my previous association with an Indonesian based conglomerate since 1988, I am well trained to eat Indonesian food and hot/spicy stuff. Even eat bread with hot sauce.
However, variety of Indonesian food cannot compare with Thai or Chinese food.
Stella, I was told Chendol is like a Singaporean Indonesian sweet which is then popular in other places. It's not that popular in Indonesia. Indonesian usually take fresh fruits as dessert.
Oh I see.
Just like Sunkist orange is not popular in CA.
Yang Chow fried rice is not from Yang Chow.
Got to go now. Time for a special program from TVB.
Bye.....
