TWG cafe and restaurant, Emporium BKK

Personally I don't like mixed tea leaves, as I consider Earl Grey as Earl Grey, and Pu Er as Pu Er....etc.  So it's not appropriate for me to judge the tea of this one, but I would say the water isn't nice in terms of clarity and temperature (in considering the black tea I ordered, some hotter water should have been to brew it).  Got a tea set for the highest price choice but it's not that appealing.  The sandwich is very nice after all.  The scone is a bit too dry and not taste like a scone.  The extra dessert ordered is ultra sweet.  However, the service of the old team is still very nice.  Next time I'd order an iced mocha instead.

oh it pastries r too sweet. anyway, it is just a copy-cat of French Mariage Freres. no special merit. but due to the location and attentive service, i will still go to see and be seen there .. hehe

Good that there is a place finally not very tempting and not a "must go".
If there is opportunity I would like to encore on Secret Garden, MO several times, Lord Jims or Le Normandie lunch, Gray Hound snacks a few times, roasted piggy, etc.
Oh, if there is any ice cream made with liquid nitrogen I would like to try too.

Ice cream made with liquid nitrogen! - that stuff is from the US, why Stella would like to try it in Bangkok?

SS, it's a pretty nice place for a drink. Liquid nitrogen - I recall the old chemical class on freezing a golden fish.

I don't find this in LA. Even if I find this it may be too far from my place.
And even if it is close to my place I don't have the luxury of time eating this kind of ice cream in LA as not in vacation mood.
Many things we have in LA like hamburger or pizza we still will eat in HK or BKK.

Yes Sea please take me there either in BKK or HK or both. Where LA has it is regardless.

I heard about this nitrogen liquid stuff but forgot where it was offered. :)

Thank you Mickey for the address in BKK.

Hi Sea,
There is also one in HK too I already copied down the address. Will bring the "Eat and Travel Weekly Magazine". Don't worry if you don't have time I can go with my Trainer brother in HK.
I would like to try both in BKK and HK to compare.
Need to report to many people here.

I see but I am not interested in this kind of ice cream. Thanks for this retirement note. :)
