2012 Spring review: Business class, Cathay Pacific Airway

This flight on CX is a 180 degree experience from my BA flight taken 2 weeks ago. On the one with BA, I paid a higher fare but got a forced downgrade (though finally I insisted and kept my premium seat). On this CX flight, I got a complimentary upgrade and the seat and meal service is really nice. Appetizer is smoked salmon rocket salad. I chose the Kung Po prawn as the main course and a choco. ice cream as dessert. Then I slept for 30 minutes to re-charge myself from a hustling busy afternoon.
*as I look back on all my trips, those to Europe and US were really not fortunate. Almost 1 out of 5, I would run into some troubles, from plane engine shutdown (KLM), emergency landing (UA), luggage loss (AF), strike (AF/BA), food poisoning (UA), to various travel disappointments....etc. However, I don't even run into such high frequent travel issues when I travel within Asia.

The close up of the dishes have such a dreamy look to them, :)

CX is sure one of the best airlines on earth in terms of punctuality, safety and quality of service.
Even the ice cream shown here is unique. We don't have this flavor in LA.
I saw a pair of nice sneakers relaxing there.

As the X100 is with a 23mm sensor and in a macro of less than a 2 feet distance, at F2-3.5, the DOF is quite obvious. After some trying, I would choose at least F4 to F8 for macro.
SS, FYI, CX is one of the pioneer airlines taking the noise-cancelling headphones on board.

Yes Mike, you are right. I found out there are several flavors we don't have it here in LA.

There are quite some new flavours and some I even forgot, as my most favourite is still their chocolate, coffee and green tea. Rum raisin is good too.

We don't have green tea flavor in the small "lotus" cup though.
