Bay Hotel Singapore

The hotels' prices in Singapore has been going up by another 20-30% for the recent year. My business fellows try to make their trip as short as possible and prefer to stay longer in KL on the en-route trip. A common business hotel can be over S$200++ (US$160) easily, and those 5 star hotels like Marriott can be over US$350++ without ABF. Out of curiosity, I tried this new hotel near Vivo City on the bay side near Sentosa. Read the comments that the superior room is very small. I then booked a deluxe room (which is 30% more spacious) and I was so surprised that it's just half the size of an ordinary hotel room. See that basin next to the TV (photo 2). The gym is even super small. See photo 3. That tiny door far away on the other end of the swimming pool is the gym and good for one person. You can't go in when it's occupied.

this looks like a 'hourly' hotel in HK, but in SIN at a luxury hotel cost.

Even those Ibis (not in downtown) can cost over US$150.

Again, hotels in S'Pore cannot compare with those in BKK overall.
