Think this is the lousiest breakfast I have ever tried.
1. Coffee ok at average for those 3 star hotel quality. 4. bread ok, but only this wheat bread. Cold cut lousy and too fatty but not the aromatic fat one. Fresh fruits good as it's from Thailand. Only 4 juices are served and they are all either canned or from the box. Super sweet.
3. Worst croissant. They think butter is the essential part of this renowned French food. What a humiliation to the French food culture. Low grade mushroom and not rinsed well. Oh, the Chef flew the ham to you. So they must learn it from the Thai "flying" stir fried veggie. 4. Super sweet apple juice.
5. smelly yoghurt. 6. the pastry wasn't done well during the raising process. Kind of a "drying" smell. The pomelo is aged dry - at least a week. Dragon fruit wasn't cut nicely.
7. At night time this place was filled with table to make a door way of just 2.5 feet wide for guests to pass by from the shuttle boat's pier. However, when in day time during breakfast, lots of guests lined up but this area wasn't put with tables. 8. Even at the outside there was a line and it was once with more than 10 guests lining up. Some guests were holding a plate for food and eating during waiting in line!

9/10. OK, another line for the air-con. restaurant inside. I saw around 20-25 people lining up! After all, the waitress reminded me of the dress code. Then I replied "this is a riverside terrace and open area. I have been to MO many times. They understand guests in open area should be allowed with some casual wear. Now that your restaurant having long line, providing lousy food, asked for dress code. You really need to keep up your standard of service before asking for a proper dress code. This is worse than any fast food shop's service!

If just looking at the food I cannot tell you are at Peninsula Hotel in BKK at all.
I think even the breakfast at AG is better.
They shall not keep their guests waiting in a long line. This is not a 3-star hotel.
Well, they must have something good though. At least its view if not more.
Glad to know MO BKK is still way better. MO can afford to drop a few levels and still the best.
so skip breakfast and make more room for the China House brunch tmr

Well, no need to compare to any hotel as it's not a hotel; so our comparison to any hotel is a disgrace to all those hotels.
With the food shown above and the long line, this looks more like open house in school for parent's day.
