As learnt from TC's earlier post about this Thai Issan restaurant on Thonglor, so we gotta try this one in person today. Thonglor can only keep you busier than ever. Better stay at a serviced apt. around here, or we take a buffet tour from soi 10 to soi 18 for stopping 5-6 restaurants. Remember if you can skip the hotel breakfast (except MO's), please do so. OK, this one is the 1st stop.
1/2. the deco. is very platful, reminding me of Hotel Reflections.
3/4. Various interesting lighting.
5/6. more deco. I think the kids would love to spend hours here.
7. Quite a large open area. 8. the entrance.
9. Grilled chicken. Very local taste as in how it's marinated. 10. Pomelo salad. I like it but also hate it as it's super hot.
11. Green papaya salad. Freshly made but quite hot and I got trapped to get it anyway since somtam (papaya salad) is my favourite. 12. the veggie - they serve baby lotus stem. Good to cool off the hot. All the veggie are very fresh and the carrots freshly cut that you can get the sweet aroma.
13. Grilled chicken thigh. Good too. 14. Dried pork fried rice.
15. Grilled "abalone" mushroom (HK's term). They did it in the grilled chicken way. I can say it's a fusion food and that's the way about fusion cooking. Cook some food in another style but not put all the contradictory ingredients together, such as banana, ba choy, bitter gourd in tomato sauce.
