Red Mouth Day (3rd day of CNY) - travel alert on T Lounge, Siam Kempinski Hotel BKK

This hotel is an renowned hotel in Europe but its hotel branch in Beijing made me wonder what's wrong with them. When the site behind Siam Paragon announced the arrival of this hotel branch landing at Bangkok, I didn't expect much, as I was asked by my friends for advice about this hotel. My reply is "try it if you want to get so close to Siam shopping area.". When I checked on their hotel design, the so-called pool-access rooms are like in the zoo. The sun didn't get thru' to the swimming area much, probably for a few hour noon day time. I don't find it a so-called "resort city" hotel. Simply check on the below 1/2 photos. They need to go check how the plantation should be. If they still had the vision of what this site used to be, this hotel is such a disgrace in this prime area. Well, for those who have once stayed or visited the old Inter-continental Hotel in this site, they should know how the various green were here!

Second, the interior design is very outdated surface luxurious, boring too. At last, I planned to try their high tea at T Lounge. There is no clear entrance to the T Lounge. Then when the Caucasian staff noticed our waiting at the entrance, he pretended he didn't see us. So as when we switched our eyes with hand gesture to another local staff, we got ignored again. So when we further hunted to another guy, that guy asked the other lady to come to us. Then that lady further relayed the message to another lady to come to us. Well, don't you find it fun with this pin ball service? Good for your eyes and neck to get some exercises. I simply told the lady with my swinging eyes "Forget it. You guys are too busy!". Good that they already told me what they are and so I can save money from trying to stay at this hotel.

what the Mall Group has done something outstanding? the Emporium is just by luck! the Paragon is praised by red-shirts (burnt CWP) otherwise Paragon is a dead mall, no-wheel-use blue blood

OK, I will check with my friend Vivien who is staying here during CNY holidays.
She is very excited of this resort hotel for her son.

Stella, hope your friend's son didn't catch cold. It was quite cold at night time in BKK. As this hotel is quite sheltered from sun, I doubt the water would be warm enough.

Mickey, there is one good thing out of a million. Their supermarkets. Some of the stuff are even cheaper than Big C and Tops, i.e those shampoo, cooking stuff, canned food. If they don't have the food court supporting the business, this Siam Paragon is in much of a question.

because the Mall - is a cheap department store brand (cannot compare with Central), before it had its first debut (Emporium) in the middle of the town, they r all in outskirts Bangkok, so no surprise her supermarket sell products cheaper than Tops and BigC; however, also praise the management doesn't adjust price in her two high end malls (Emporium and Siam Paragon) ..

but, Tops free delivery minimum purchase is only THB 1,500, while the Siam Paragon is THB 5,000, so the Mall has gall, now u c why Thailand has only Central looks like a real department store, while others r just cheap vase ..

Regarded as the high-end kid friendly resort like this, this hotel shall have heated pools.
In fact, BKK is not even as hot as LA at noon time. All 4-star hotels in LA have heated pool.
MO-BKK is the only one in BKK with heated pool by far. See,
MO is still the best and the smartest.

No people in all the photos except the lounge. They go there only for tea time. No people stay there.

The kids wouldn't mind if it's cold or hot when it comes to play time. :)

Anonymous, thanks for pointing that out. I didn't notice that and in fact I didn't purposedly took photos when there was no guests around, not even the security guard. This is not right for a self-acclaimed 6 star hotel.
