3. Garlic bruschetta with mozzarella cheese, anchovies and black truffle/Pan-fried duck liver with crispy Coppa ham. 4. Tuna tartar with artichoke, olives, sun-dried tomatoes and trout caviar/Marinated goat cheese with garlic, chili and olives.

5. Beef carpaccio with arugula, letuce, porcini mushroom and cubes of duck liver/Parma ham with sweet honeydew melon and figs. 6. Anonymous, I was told that some of the rooms were affected but the hotel is still in good shape. Will post more about this restaurant. Yes, TC, it should be at least THB2,000 in value, but we know it's less than that. Surprising!

No surprise for such comments from someone. I also got told "the bread of MO HK sucks - so hard and chewy. I prefer those made by maxim's fast food.". I don't mean the bread of Maxim's is bad as I also buy and eat those, but they should see and eat more, to know more culture and the diverse breads. Let's skip France, there are hundred types of bread in Germany. Some expensive breads are very chewy as that's the way it is. We have to know the original cooking style of the food. For example, we can't complain the Italian to cook rice not well done. By the same token, the Italian people find the Chinese rice awesome.

I would highly recommend Il Cielo for a try especially at this bargain period. :) If we order a platter like that in HK, it would be at least HK$400 to 500 (at some average Italian restaurant). Fine dining should be at least more than $700-800.

By the way, don't tempt someone to try food they are scared to take at some lousy restaurants. For example, someone got even frustrated with live oyster at some buffet like Royal Garden, Regal HK...etc. Better bring them to try Lord Jim's MO BKK or Clipper's Lounge MO HK or Shangrila Sentosa or more interesting to Cannes. :)
