Sale sale sale - Tea Room by Grand Hyatt Bangkok

Almost every shop and restaurant in Bangkok are now cutting prices from 50-70%. I bought some nice long coat and jackets (yes "s"). Some of them was B8,200 but now B2,400. Some restaurants even launched some uplifting programs such as 50% off the bill or the next bill for free on the same amount spent on the one you spend.

The high tea set is THB220 net and I didn't expect they are counting this one on sale too. When I was given the bill and I asked the lady "you made a mistake as we ordered 2.", but the lady told me "we offer 50% off on all at-table dining". So it turns out THB220 for 2 persons, i.e. THB110 for one! The original price is cheap already and now amazingly cheap. However, the food and drink quality didn't drop. What a 100 mark merit!

besides Tea Room, the Table and Spasso at Grand Hyatt Erawan also offer the 50% discount until end of June

many hotels also offer similar offer

only Mandarin Oriental no cut-throat discount, but she is doing the once a year Summer Promotion as well

Wow $8 US for 2 high tea at Grand Hyatt is a big bargain.
Too bad the 50% is only in June.
OK, I will concentrate on the shopping then.
So I don't need to bring much clothing to BKK this time.

though they need to do it but sad to see they suffer quite a lot in the past few months. less than HK$30 for one tea set with nice food cannot do in HK. hope they don't need to do that again.

Don't worry. There will be some unexpected findings. There is not just one tea room. Lots to be discovered yet. Yes, pls spare more space for your luggage for some other things.

Anonymous, you had better grab the timing. The July 1st holiday is a good chance still. Go there on 27th and 28th June and return on 1st JUly.

Stella, if u really want to buy one, i shall buy that for u now (as discount may not be extended to end of August); the same suitcase u bought in Siam Paragon, now is about THB 3,000, bleeding price!

OK, please get one now for no less then $100 US for the similar one I bought last time.
Please confirm after you buy so I can bring a lousy luggage to BKK and exchange.
Thanks.

btw, what color do u prefer? red, blue, black, or brown?

Hi TC,
Color prefer in order of:red, blue, brown, black. But this is not important at all and you probably cancel this.
I found at T J Max one American Tourister with the same size like the Samsonite we bought in BKK. Only $59.99. And it is a light weighted one(the cover is canvas material).
The funny thing is all other non-brand name luggage with the same size sells for $69.99. And they are heavier(but the cover is trendy with some shinny and glossy silver color). So I am happy today.

so u bought one in TJ Max?

anyway "one-penny-money-one-part-product", is the material different? canvas material cover? for one time use like the one u bought at MBK?

suit case is not jeans, u don't want that fall apart in the middle of .. on the road, in a plane, in the air ..

American Tourister is a good brand too my dear.
By the way, with this price I don't mind being torn after one year or two.
