Secret Garden, Sathorn, Bangkok, Thailand

Told by my local friend to try this one since it's within 2 min. walk from Marriott Vista Sathorn.

1. Stir fried bitter gourd. A bit old and not in a quick stir fired; so a bit yellow too. 2. Secret salad. The salad dressing is like a thousand island spicy version (very hot one).

3. Steamed rice cake with preserved turnip. Among all the dishes, this one is the best, and yet the cheapest THB160. 4. Deep fried shrimp balls on cane. At average.

5. Pad Si Er. At average. 6. Grilled sea bass THB420. Also at average but I would prefer Jer Ngor's.

7. OK. this shop is supposed for dessert and cakes. After the meal, you will be given a tray of selection of sample cakes. Very clever as you can't get away from only seeing it. 8. Strawberry short cake. THB90. Very nice and fresh too. The most important is that it's not sweet at all. I mean it's almost 70 to 80% off of local Thai sweet standard. To me, it's about 10-20% off of my standard.

9. Choco. cake. Also pretty nice. 10. the shop inside.
11. the dessert area. 12. outdoor.

13. the entrance. 14. a private hut for a group of partying.

food at Secret Garden is so-so, it is modern Thai cuisine for the high-so youngsters

the sweet can do the make up, Secret Garden is very popular among white collars and high-so ladies in the area, i hv heard that she already opens another branch

Yes Jer Ngor again in my agenda please.
I like to stick to those good ones that I have been to. At least a few like Crystal Jade, Lord Jim's, Author's Lounge, Grey Hound chicken wings.....

So we need to limit it to 5 to 10 at the most and rules and regulations are at the discretion of the organisers. :)

Oh, please save room for other food. If their prices are within the ranges of THB50-300, then may be good to try. However, any stir fried food is over THB120, then forget it. Simply go over to Saladaeng Cafe. This place is only good for cakes and their yoghurt frosty drink. The cakes are very unsweetened and the yoghurt drink is a bit too sweet to me but still pretty nice.

ar so Secret Garden is for non-sweet cakes, that's good for my sugar control diet :-)

I agree with you on the food - most of it is really average to not very good. But...what the food lacks the cake makes up for. The cake is amazing :)
