Grossi, Italian restaurant, Inter-Continental BKK

On a rainy night in Bangkok, we were on the sky bridge over Ratchaprasong area, wondering where to get for a drink. Ended up we paid a visit at this nice Italian restaurant of Inter-Continental. Check photo 2. The olive is specially marinated with some herb and bay leaves. This is so good to go with a bottle of refined mineral water like Bracca (photo 1), to boost up your appetite. Next to it, Italian bread and a light dip of fine olive oil. Then get ready for a hearty Minestrone! I like the way they pan fried the mixed veggie to make the whole soup more aromatic. Besides, some chicken stock was used to make the veggie even sweeter. So in this way, the veggie absorb the sweetness of the chicken stock.
Dessert? Penna Cotta on photo 5. Very smooth in the perfect texture (not too mashy or jello texture). With the mixed berries, you don't find it too rich. Shall try their pizza next time as I saw quite many others ordered their pizza.

This is Intercontinental Week huh.
I like this hotel and the buffet(Espresso Restaurant).
Looks very relaxing having a drink here too.

It's just coincidence. :)

right that is why it doesn't hv the uninviting sour taste, i love this kind of minestrone; the home-made marinated olive is also superb ..

i believe that InterCon has an able F&B Director in charge

In fact, all Intercontinental Hotels have consistent quality.
But MO is still the best in both hotel rooms and restaurants even after some voltage drop.

mmh... but China House.... Even Lord Jim's is on the edge. I hope Le Normandie can keep up. Will find it out a week later. :)

in MO, the coffee shop is a best place to eat, a simple dish, likes rad na, already best in Bangkok, of course with a price ..

Look forward to your update in Le Normandie soon, plus all others.
I just told some US friends to try MO and its restaurants at least once.
They are going in November Thanksgiving week.
