Ho Hung Kee noodle shop 何洪記, Causeway Bay, HK

This is one of the most established wonton noodle shops in Hong Kong. The shop is now behind Lee Theatre's plaza and convenient for tourists' visit in Causeway Bay. The noodle is very nice and aromatic but the soup base is not as good as before, though it's still not bad. Tried the HK most popular stir fried noodle with shred pork and bean sprout (肉絲炒麵). Quite a classic way that they did it - crispy outside and tangy soft inside with a nice hot shred pork bean sprout sauce on top. I love putting the Cantonese chili sauce (photo 3) to go with the stir fried noodle. Full of memory.

Sorry for the bumpy ride. Luckily that night as I passed by, I saw someone left and so took the opportunity to go in. I often passed by this crowded busy shop. The previous time I tried was 6-7 years ago.

The noodle looks so good.
The hot sauce in photo 3 is a must for me to eat with "2-face yellow" noodle.
BTW, my friend told me today there is a side walk oldie cafe called "Wah Sing" in Wanchai.
It is cheap and good. They have one toast called "Alan Tam Toast".
One of the owners from this safe is past worker from "Wah Sing Music & Records" and that is how they got the name.

I know that one but their waiters are quite cool due to the shop being pretty crowded. Wonder if they have "Liza Wong" hot coffee, "Jacky Cheung" Love you more each day pasta, "Paula Tsui" BBQ pork bun....

OK, there is another good one in Wanchai. This one may be "warmer" as it is run by So Ma Ma and her son. So Ma Ma is almost 90-year old but she insists to keep this shop so that she can serve a decent mile tea and bread to her old customers and friends here.
Its milk tea is rated one of the best four among "cafe don" by CNN.
Do you know which one is this?
It is at Kwong Ming Kai(Bright Street).
You can get a prize if you can name this place.

Kwong Ming Street? Is it St. Francis Street? There is a Dai Pai Dong but now it's a local style restaurant. Their milk tea is quite famous. We used to go there often. Not sure if that's the one. I forgot the name though.

The name is "Tak Yu Cha Don" located at Star Street or Bright Street in Wanchai. Did you mean this too?

Lots of movie/TV stars and singers like to go there too.

Sorry can't find that source. However, Star Street doesn't have any local restaurant. I believe it's the one in St. Francis court.

I think you are right since this is your territory.
