Diving into macro food

Time to go check a world we may overlook in our daily life. A mini-world in macro with vivid color and details. All the below photos were taken at F2.8 at ISO 100. Luckily the restaurant has a pretty strong light on the table (at Peking Garden, basement of Pacific Place Admiralty). *In general, the food below is at average but just Thai Basil (opposite to Peking Garden) was so full house that I had to switch to this place.
1. cucumber, veggie chicken and peanuts as appetizer.
2. Drunken chicken (with dried rose petals on top), HK$88.
3. Jelly fish (head part) in sesame scallion oil, HK$78.
4. Tan Tan noodle, HK$38.
5/6. Sesame pastry with mixed seafood, HK$128.
7. Turnip/cabbage rolls with fish meat bits, HK$88. (*please click the photos for a larger view.).

Ok, Window update time. Re Peking Garden, I did eat but not finish them all. As you can see, no dessert was ordered. :) This one is a bit better than the one in Taikooshing, but the menu is even more dramatic, such as something like:
三十六著乾煸北平四季豆.
十里揚長嫩土雞相會斷腸金華火腿

I spoke quite loud in the restaurant "hooligan wording again. What's for 三十六著 & 十里揚長? They miss to name this a 九唔搭八menu.

When I was in the elevator in Pacific Place, a crowd of office excutives in nice suits and dress went in but no one pressed the "close" button". Pathetic and that's how they got on their surface.

So Peking Garden is doing a right thing by attracting those people who just look at the names of the dish and tell the others they take "fusion, organic, xxx friendly, xxx rating...etc." food in order to be proud of that.

The wrong thing is that I shouldn't be the customer of that Peking Garden.

Thanks Android. Actually I have a few more ideas with the macro lens. Will try to see if I can make it.

Mickey, yes, I know. Like I told, not every Maxim's outlet is bad. Even on the bread and Chinese moon cake, they are good. To name the few of my favourite Maxim's outlets:

-Thai Basil
-Jade Garden, Causeway Bay Plaza II
-Chiu Chow Garden, Vicwood Plaza
*actually Lawry's is managed by Maxim's too.
