Mango pomelo sweet (the real original) 楊枝甘露 (正版)

This is very ironic that last time when I tried this sweet at Lei Garden (the original creator), they didn't make it right - missing the grapefruit. Many restaurants or dessert shops often pay too much attention to the use of pomelo, but neglect another important ingredient grapefruit. I was "shocked" (yes no exaggeration) to see this original version in Chiu Chow Garden (Vicwood Plaza). Though I don't like most of the Maxim's restaurants (esp. those trendy ones), this specific Chiu Chow Garden simply made me consider not to call it as a Maxim's outlet. What's more, their captains and waiters/waitresses speak excellent and articulate Cantonese and often know when to serve and not push for "seafood". The manager should be given a big credit! Another delight is yet to be posted later. Impressive!

This dessert is hard to find in LA.
The waiters can speak good Cantonese here? Do you mean this is something special in HK? What dialect they are supposed to speak?

Cantonese is still the leading dialect here but either some people have lazy tones or pretentious to speak like a foreign tongue. Some even can't express themselves well. This is one of the by products of too much online chatting and networking.

besides lazy tones, many ppl work in the restaurant industry r from the mainland, so they speak proper Hong Kong tone Cantonese ..

Oh I see. Thank for the note.
I just noticed the heading of this post is like the music copyright thing: "Jin Bang"(Original copyrighted copy) vs "Fan Bang"(the replica copy).

Now it's getting even more complicated. Besides, foreign, Mainland fake or authentic ABC foreign tone of Cantonese, We have some cyber tones too. Some kids speak some Uranus language. Some speak some single words or speak on their faces. Eventually and inevitably, I need to have a facebook/msn ID. Later on, I may need to use an iPhone or any held hand device to communicate for what I wanna order in the restaurant. No kidding.

When it's about 10-11pm, the common scene is that many people keep playing with their iPhone. BTW, even MTR is very quiet. People are having their heads down like "paying a last respect" or mourning. :)
