This hotel has been quite of the talk of the town for the past year, especially all the attention were paid at the Red Sky and 55 restaurants on the top of this hotel. So I had a brief visit to this hotel before I chose to stay here. The hotel is often said to be "above" BTS Chitlom station in some local newspaper. I wonder how the Chitlom station is beneath Central World. Even on the Siam-Chitlom skywalk (pedestrian walkway above Rama I road under the BTS line from Chitlom to Siam), it took about 8-10 minutes on foot. Centara Grand is actually on the far end corner of Central World to the skywalk entrance, which takes at least 5 minutes; together at least 15 minutes from Chitlom.
1. the lobby on 23rd floor and 24th floor is where the World and Ginger restaurants are.
3. the lift lobby. 4. the entrance to 55.

7. the fitness center has been put with 2 body flexing machine (good for football and tennis player to train their sport strength) and this machine is about HK$40k. 8. the fitness center is quite big.
9. next to the fitness center and the SPA is a health drink station Juice Bar. 10. the open jacuzzi off the spa.
13. a bigger spa pool. 14. the look of Centara Grand.
15/16. another private spa pool.
17. the garden of the SPA. 18. 55 offers a 3 course set lunch and claims to serve it within 55 minutes or the meal is free. If they serve the 3 courses all together, it wouldn't be a problem.
19. the lobby of the resort add hotel office. 20. the lobby.
21. the deli on the ground floor. 22. the entrance - somehow reminds me of KLCC.
23. the entrance of Central World on the back side.

The inside and the amenities of this hotel look better than its outside when I visited.
Especially the pool and jacuzzi look very nice.
And I like the convenience of shopping downstairs from this hotel. No need to ride taxi and train so no traffic hassel.(Good for our lazy LA friends Yang and Wei.)
Is the thing above the pool the sky train?

yes, it's one of the good choices in Siam/Central World area especially for those who prefer sticking to the hot shopping malls. SS, you mean the hotel is above the sky train station or TC already answered to your question?

this is a worth to try at least once kind hotel (for couple) as the room is very chic and romantic
CX package for 2 nights at Centara Grand at just HK$2,300 something. I think I'll go get one and use the 1 night coupon; so I can stay for 3 nights. :)
