Marriott Vacations Club and the Zest, Mai Khao, Phuket, Thailand

For those who have passed by any Marriott or Courtyard premises, the Marriott Vacations wouldn't be any stranger. So this Vacations club is in Mai Khao a bit further next to JW Marriott and Anantara resort in between of these 2 resorts.

1/2. the resort inside.

3/4. the swimming pool area.

5/6. The restaurant - the Zest.

7. the table. 8. Thai iced coffee and mango juice - quite average.

9. the cakes. 10. the bread - quite average.

11. Ceasar salad with "grilled tiger prawn". Very disappointing considering its price at THB400. First the prawns were not grilled - just boiled! Second, it's not tiger prawn! The key point to making ceasar salad is to have the romaine lettuce be chilled enough so that it can give a fresh and crispy of the characteristic of romaine lettuce. 12. buffalo wings - another disappoint dish. The wings were not pan fried and they were just boiled. So the chicken meat was a bit too mashy. Then the sauce is a bit too much, and the sauce is just tomato sauce. It should be a bit spicy! Quite a contrast to the restaurant of JW Marriott which is just 200 meters away.

13. As you can see, the pizza is a bit too dry. Chicken is tasteless and the cheese is not enough to store the juice. 14. strawberry cake cup - not sure how long it was kept in the fridge. The base cake is quite hard.

15. Brownie - this one is better than the cake cup. 16. The Zest restaurant and the pond.
17. a plunge pool is with the ground floor unit.

Har... Patong - even for my first time in Phuket, my friends strongly recommended staying in Patong, I didn't like it then and not even like it now. So I would definitely forget it no matter how horrible the place I am in now. Mind me to say that for those who love Patong. It's just my eccentric character that I can't fall into the mood of Patong. If I wanna go to Patong, I would rather stay in BKK.
