The World, Centara Grand at Central World, Bangkok, Thailand

The World is the cafe on the 24th floor, offering int'l buffet for lunch and dinner besides breakfast buffet, and a-la-carte certainly is certainly available. The lunch buffet is about THB840 and a bit more for dinner. In general, quality-wise, it's quite above average, especially for the dessert.

1. sushi plate - the sushi is quite of high quality and at least not those "fake-like" tuna. crab roe is freshly made to order. 2. the steak and pork chop is also made to order but the sausage is a bit disappointing. Apparently they were not grilled well and a bit cold inside. The chef should at least grill it until the sausage is cracked a bit on the surface.

3. seaweed and veggie with pork soup - this one is unexpectedly good though I can tell it's with some extra seasoning but if using the seasoning in a proper way, I don't mind it. 4. a plate of salad and greed. I put quite various dressing on each small section of the green. The lemon dressing is a bit salty but the honey mustard is pretty good - not too spicy and not too sweet. All the others are quite at average.

5. raw oyster and a bread to go with. This is the way I took raw oyster. The bread can get you balance out the full taste of oyster. The oyster is not that fat but I somehow prefer the smaller one if it's fresh enough. If the oyster is not fresh, the bigger one would get you quite a disgusting smell in your mouth. 6. Herbal jelly - pretty good and you can put the syrup separately.

7. the hot food - I don't take much the hot food since keeping them at a warm-hot temperature for some time after it's done is not too good. 8. the mini dessert cakes and chocolate - pretty good.

9. also pretty good - and the mini-size can get you eat in more variety. 10. on the left bottom is a surprising sorbet - lychee sorbet but it's with some rose petal fragrance. This is something I like the Chef being creative. The rose fragrance does go well with lychee. The orange sponge mini cake is also nice.

11. peppermint tea from Pickwick to calm your stomach after a full meal. 12. the restaurant inside - taken at 3pm.
12. the entrance.

Good that you mentioned this was taken at 3 pm. Otherwise I wonder why the food so good but no business.
The desserts look good.
