The water, the Pool, the Sala, Mai Khao, Phuket, Thailand

While taking these photos, I noticed the training manager giving a daily session to the staff and he told the staff to sneeze on their arm side, not on the hand or palm. When he saw me nearby, he greeted me though they were in the training. So this little detail can tell the management of the resort is of quite professional standard. Besides, the house service is fast and efficient and attentive too. The guests would be given some snacks in the pool area - reminding me of MO Bangkok.
1. the shallow water jacuzzi - it's about 1 foot depth and good for the kids to play around with all these bubbles. 2. the second pool on the right front of the resort.

3/4. the stairs down to the pool.
5. view from the jacuzzi - seems like it's very wavy, thanks to the water camera FT1. 6. there are some subtle details around the resort, including the flower paint along the step in the pool and restaurant areas.

7. half view to the pool and half to the 2 bed room suite. 8. the jacuzzi in the deeper side of the pool.

9. wash your feet before going into the pool. 10. sunset at Mai Khao beach, north of Phuket airport. About 15 miles north of this beach is my favourite Natai beach where Aleenta resort is, and this sunset is the on the same direction as Latai beach. In taking this photo, I did subconsciously think of Natai beach. I was told that I might have been obsessed with Natai beach and Aleenta because of the mysterious spirit encountering of the August trip. Anyway, Andaman Sea is considered as a very unstable sea from May to September due to the Indian Ocean warm moisture. However, the worst area is the Bangladesh where the Indian Ocean's massive ocean moisture is curved and kept towards the Banglades Bay (north west of Thailand west coast). So I am actually obsessed with the power of the Nature. Something I can feel it and not just see it in the TV.

11. view to the Phuket middle west part. 12. a swinging chair.

13. the whole view to the pool and restaurant behind. 14. the restaurant and the pool at night.
15. another night view.

Yes, Phuket is now going into the peak season due to the offshore wind and Samui is into the low season due to the north east wind. One way or the other. :)

However, we did notice there are more and more hip resorts on the growth in Phuket and unless those are branded, we can still find some nice resorts at bargain prices especially on their opening launch. For example, Anatara Phuket was opened in Oct. last year. Wincastle HK had a very special deal at just HK$5k something for 3 night say plus KA ticket early this year but somehow I chose Aleenta. However, when it has become more popular, such package was no more and the package price for 2 nights is now almost at HK$7k. When I chatted with the sales manager of Anatara Phuket, their current rate is THB12,000 for low season and THB18k to 20k for high season. Will post their room photos later. :)

This hotel looks very charming and cozy with some feel of Hawaii and Cancun.
The jaccuzi with lot of bubbles looks so wavey and relaxing.
You sure do have a good camera as the underwater photos are so clear and nicely taken.

yes, now I get used to the function keys of my newly bought Panasonic FT1. The only thing I would complain is the F3.3. aperture and in the night time, you need to push up the ISO to compensate for the aperture. However, it's still technologically restrained for camera having the highest aperture when it's with a movie recording. It can be but can be so expensive. For most of the photos posted for the recent postings were taken on the FT1 rather than on the Leica D-lux 3. I used the 3:4 photo size to differentiate those 2:3 on Leica. :)
