Sala Pool Villa, The Sala, Phuket, Thailand

OK, now let's a look at the room of the Sala. When I tried to book with the resort directly for a very bargain price at just THB10k something for this pool villa (3rd graded among the 5 grades, deluxe (no pool), garden pool villa (pool but with the deluxe room on the above), sala pool villa, one bed room pool suite and 2 bed room pool suite), I was surprised to find an even more bargain at THB7,600 at a web link I haven't tried for 6 years after I found Agoda and Asiatravel already at much of a bargain price. It's latestays.com and I am sure this website must have a good terms contract with the Sala since neither Agoda nor Asiatravel can offer such a bargain rate.

1/2. the bed room is quite spacious.

3. the mini-bar. Note that Chinese style hot water pot. 4. the open closet.

5. the pool - quite large. 6. the open shower - they use some very refined shampoo and bath gel.

7. the open toilet. 8. the sink - good to have 2 sinks. 9. the bath tub next to the pool. The bath salt is very aromatic with lemon grass and ginger. The theme of this resort is lemon grass and ginger.

9. the lounging area - good for reading a book. 10. looks like a jumping board into the pool - but only for Jimmy and Donald.

11. a whole view to the bath tub and lounging area. 12. Look at the nice floor tiles.

13. the whole view to the pool villa. 14. welcome sorbet - mango, blueberry, strawberry and lemon grass/ginger - lovely!

15/16. you may think why I took another photo of the pool. Just changed to another room with no tree and it looks more spacious!

17/18. more view to the pool and the room.

19. view from the pool to the room. 20. Jimmy and Donald on the lounging area.

21. view from the pool to the bath tub. 22. nice grass along the pool.

23/24. Jimmy/Donald resting in the room.

i think those welcome sorbet is a brilliant idea, those normally ultra sweet fruit punch were too common! another suggestion for welcome drinks maybe CN herbal tea!

Yes, just something little different would make a guest's stay a whole lot different. Those common welcome drink or fresh fruits are usually much too sweet. CN herbal tea is also a good idea instead of those interesting sweet drinks like cough syrup.....:)

i found out this Sala is quite modern and hip, so another pool villa experience u having us envy and jealous :)

actually Sala pool villa room decor does look into details

during the high seasons i think no one can escape from a tag of US$1,000 per night at least (and probably an email reply that "sorry we are full for the next 2 months")

Chrysanthemum tea may be a good welcome drink too to refresh and cool down our "fire" inside.
Yes this post is to make us all very very envy and jealous and feel like sour grapessss.

Yes, the villa itself is quite nicely designed in details. BTW, the housekeeping staff must have been trained in the MO BKK way. They remember some little things you have set in the room such as the way how I set the curtain, putting more camomile and mint tea bags as they notice we drink that quite much. The tea bags are not expensive but such an attentive service is really something. Besides, every time after they have done the mosquito coil burning and oil burner aroma oil and made the bed....etc., they would tell you "Sir, we have already made the room for your rest. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.". Then after you say "thanks so much. We are fine". Then they would reply "if there is anything you need, please call us and have an enjoyable evening.". Besides, they would get to your room within 3-5 minutes (this resort is really big with almost 70 villas and it's not easy to go to some rooms far from the main working area.", after you ask for something. So THB7,600 is a very good deal. The manager told me it will be around THB18-20k during peak season. So at just US$500 something, it's a very nice deal, considering the room amenities and services and good restaurant/facilities.

Also, the SPA house has "program of the day" for some discounted massage and package. A 90 min. Thai massage is just at THB1,500. Those 4 star hotel/resorts in Thailand often charge more than THB2,000. They use products by Pevonia Botanica and Jurlique . I think that's why it's named as one of the top ten spas.

This Sala Resort is really nice and sure it is a "MO" equivalent in Phuket.
I am telling my friend to read this post and go to Sala when he is in Phuket.

Tell your friend to check on latestays.com for a more bargaining price but it may need a 3 night stay package to get the good price. Or alternatively booking thru' at salaphuket.com. Haha.., I am also the amateur volunteer marketing executive for Sala. Also tell your friend if they would like to spend time on the common area, the deluxe room is also fine but just it may be quite noisy as it's near the roadside on the back. Otherwise, book the sala pool villa. Don't try the garden villa as it is on the ground floor of the 2 floor complex where the deluxe floor is on the top. So if there are kids on the second floor, you would feel a bit annoyed since a tranquil resort like this, any minor noise would be quite "loud".

Or if your friend is coming with another group of acquainted friends, then try the 2 bed room pool villa as it's on the sea front though its still of some distance.

Thank you SEA for the free consultation. You shall be the ambassador and spokesman for Sala and MO.

By the way, another one I may wanna try is the Phuket Pavillions and it has a 2 bedroom suite with a superb infinity pool and the total area is like 500-600 sq. meters and it's just around THB20k. I have already got a bargain with their sales manager, but it may go up to THB30-40k towards the peak season. That Phuket Pavillions is close to the Banyan tree/those high-end area. Alternatively, ask your friend what type of resort they wanna try. There are lots of wonderful resorts in Thailand... Really really way on my exploration.
