The brand isn't any stranger to those HK people who often browse at supermarkets in Hong Kong. This can be called as local style cappuccino. It is quite strong and in fact the use of thicker cream and condensed milk is quite similar to the one of Vietnamese coffee. So you need to have a strong stomach.
1. the shop at Pavillions.
2. this one is called Nan Yang Kafi (南洋咖啡). For those who have watched our old time Cantonese black and white movies, you would have come accross the name Nan Yang (South Sea) - which is widely referred to Singapore and Malaysia. What about An Nam (安南) & (婆羅乃) - those mean Vietnam and Borneo (or Brunei more specifically). Quite a few nights ago my iTunes came up with the old song by 潘秀瓊 "在那遙遠的印度尼西亞,有一個美麗的地方叫峇里島....". In fact, our older generations did know the way how to chill out at that era, and how we would have some traces of those cultural reflections all over SE Asia. 3. this drink is blueberry yoghurt shake - so to calm down my stomach a bit.

For sure I don't know those old timer stuff as I am too young.
SS, I like "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven and various master pieces by Eric Satie and Mozart, but that doesn't mean I am now more than 200 years old... :)
So what are your idols - SHE (oh, maybe too old for you?), or GEM or the so-called 靚模 (teenage model)? :)
BTW, our older generation singers have some very nice great voices and they practise their voices every morning and I really respect this kind of professional spirit.
My pianist idol is Beethoven, Mozart, and Long Long. Moonlight Sonata and Swan Lake are 2 of my favorites as the music is so peaceful.
My HK singer idols are those in 70 and 90's but not in 2000's. Sorry no twin, no "4 big sky kings" although I like the look of Leon and Aaron.
No teenager model please.
Yesterday(9/29) Starbucks has launched a new product called VIA(instant coffee comes in 12 stick packets in a small box). There are 2 choices one called Italian Roast(strong) and the other called Columbia(mild). Each stick(about $1 US) is for one serving of 8-oz coffee; it is half price of the Starbucks regular coffee.
Now they go to the instant coffee market. Good to know that.
Starbucks has closed 400 stores in the whole US due to economy.
I think they shall go for the cake and bread business to broaden their product line. Just look at the Taiwan's famous brand 85 Degree C(a major competitor of Starbucks in Taiwan and now in Irvine, CA), it sells lots of bread and cake along with the coffee. And now its bread and cake business are better than its coffee.
To survive, they need to do it, though they have a large no. of followers.
