The Promenade, Harbour Plaza Metropolis, Hung Hom, Hong Kong

Had a second try for this restaurant today for a lunch buffet. The food variety is quite extensive. At less than HK$200 with 10% discount, it's worth a try. BTW, our best friend showed improvement on her appetite - one full plate of hot dish and full plate of fresh fruits plus some dessert and a dip of Hagen Daz ice cream. Another record of food magic.

1. the cafe inside. 2. the oyster is pretty fresh and chilled too - very important to have it chilled. Other cold dishes are pretty nice too.

3. the beet root is a bit too sweet. Sashimi is so so and it's a common thing here in most HK buffet since they use farm fish. Wind-dried beef is pretty nice. 4. the BBQ pork and rib are pretty good. A remark on the anchovy with green apple salad - quite a creative combination and the green apple taste does go with the salty aroma of anchovy. This is something I enjoy eating and from it I learn.

5. hot food. No matter how good they were (once), hot food is not that I often think they should be served in buffet. 6. the dessert are quite at average.

7. My favourite ice cream and I still think Hagen Daz choco and coffee are the best.

I like coffee ice cream the best but now I think it is kind of sweet.
The Belgium choco one is less sweet.
Haggen Daz's strawsberry flavor is the best(compared to same flavor for other brands).

SS, if you can find Hagen Daz made in France, you should try it. It's the best and it's not that sweet. Those Hagen Daz mostly available in HK are made in Japan and it's too sweet to me.
