Portrait photo - model Mr. Trainer

I was once asked by some friends for escorting them to buy a beginner's DSLR camera. Before buying, he showed me some photos of some personal portraits which are superb. I immediately told him to get ready to fall into this beautiful trap of photography. Those photos he showed me were prepared in a studio with various light setting. Besides, it's not about the camera but also on how the photographer told the model to pose or get on certain portrait. Besides, flash is very important. So Mr. Trainer has been acting for my practice on taking portrait photos. Thanks Mr. Trainer. By the way, you may be misled by the fit shape of Mr. Trainer that he may have drunk a lot of protein milk and avoided those high sugar/fat food. He enjoys McDonald's, KFC and Pizza Hut. Besides, he can eat 4 big bags of potato chips a day, and lots of cream cakes - yes "lots" - 5 to 6 pieces are really a "piece of cake" for him. He can even eat a 2 pound blueberry cheesecake by himself. He expressed that on his class teaching with chasing the naughty kids around - those already burned his calorie. So you would see how "active" of our cute kids nowadays.
1. taken on my Leica D-Lux 3 and the color is very different and the clarity.
2. In taking this kind of sunset light behind, a forced flash is recommended.
3. Capturing the moment is quite difficult and also the whole composition. Mr. Trainer had a natural smile besides.
4. See how nice of Latai beach - totally different from our August trip.
5. Sometimes you need to have a zoom lens to take photos of the person who isn't aware. DSLR has its good part on this and the photo texture is better.
6. Another good point showing how good of DSLR.
7. Another one on DSLR on a zooming - the contrast of the green and the blue vest of Mr. Trainer, making him very outstanding from the green.
8. Sometimes some light reflection behind is good to accompany the object. Furthermore, sometimes it's not necessary to put the object in the middle.
9. If taking photo of something white or transparent, you need to have something dark or deeper color to make it outstanding - this time is the water jetting.
10. This one is on the Panasonic FT1.
12. on DSLR.
13. on FT1
14. on FT1 too.

I think the good pictures are contributed by your good model more than your camera. Ha ha ha.
I feel like sending these pictures to HK TVB for Mr. HK contest.

Mmh.. won't let him know about it. That would make him up in the cloud.... :)

SS, the flash and the good things about lens zooming of DSLR camera should also be noted. After I practise more, I know why there are some tripods which are very heavy and expensive, so are some professional flash and extra battery...etc. :)

OK, let me find a good model first then a good camera. I think the latter part is easier.

You can still take some remarkable photos on anyone. Just a matter of how to capture and tell them how to pose as well as the setting of your camera. :) So you don't need to bother whom to be your model.
