Beautiful Orchid, front yard at the old wing, Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, Thailand

The below 2 photos were taken in between 2 year time at the front yard of the old wing of Mandarin Oriental Bangkok.

1. This one was taken in November, 2007 after a visit at Le Normandie, the French restaurant of Mandarin Oriental Bangkok. That was the first time I tried a fixed focal length of 50mm (equil. to 85mm on 35mm frame) with a F1.8 aperture on Canon 400D. This is something good about fixed focal length and I was then obsessed with fixed focal length with body/hand manual movement as zooming (only if the object is within a range of 5-10 feet... :)). See the natural color and the light contrast on the background from the benefit of fixed focal length.

2. This one was taken in 2009 also November. It's purely on a auto-function by Leica D-Lux 3. No doubt about the clarity of Leica lens but the disadvantage of D-Lux 3 is their electronic part. When it's in a bright sunny environment, the color would be a bit over-exposed. Of course, we can adjust it in any photoshop software but I don't recommend doing that unless for some photo fixing like scars on old photos...etc.
